National Bike Week From 14-21 June, 2009
Further details of this event will be announced in the coming weeks by the department of transport. As will 140,000 school be targeted for safe cycling training.  In the meantime, you might want to check out cycling classes with rothar who focus on safety and give you top tips on cycling into town and much more.
 
160,000 Commuters Cycling To Work in 2020
According to Ireland's National Cycle Policy Workshop held in the Department of Transport with representatives form Failte Ireland, Coillte, the National Roads Authority, the Heritage Council, CIE, the National Trails Office, and the Irish Sports Council among others.
